GRANDMASTER HAROLD LONG, 10th dan black belt in Isshinryu recently passed away on October 12th in Tennessee after a bout with Cancer. An original student of Isshinryu founder, Tatsuo Shimabuku, Long cataloged the various movements and katas associated with Isshinryu in book as well as video-tape form so that future generations of practitioners would be able to practice Isshinryu as it was originally taught. A great man and stalwart Council member, Long will be sorely missed. Services were held for Grandmaster Long on October 14th at the Shubert Funeral Home in Tennessee. Cards of condolences can be sent to his family at: 3650 Buck Dr., Louisville, TN. 37777.
